I work from my heart which is tempered and informed by traditional psychodynamic theory and the modalities of existential and humanistic counseling. Working in this way promotes self-discovery, increases personal responsibility, and allows clients to better understand the vastness of choice in their lives.

Focusing on process and content, I work with clients to identify and work through obstacles to growth. This allows for greater authenticity and deeper fulfillment.

I counsel with compassionate wisdom, understanding, gentle challenges, directness, and an open heart. People come quickly to trust me and feel comfortable sharing their innerworlds with me--an honor I greatly appreciate and respect.

  • learn more about who you are in relation to others;
  • see how your words/actions impact others;
  • become more adept at noticing your own reactions;
  • learn about intimacy in a safe and therapeutic setting
  • become more authentic—and more fully alive!
Self-in-Relation
...an ongoing,
process group
Self-in-Relation. An on-going process group for people who want to become more intimate in their relationships at home; more authentic at work; and, less isolated in general.

In a process group the participants learn about their ways of being by consciously observing their relationships with the other group members and through the feedback they receive. Group therapy is quick and powerfully deep work.

Group therapy is an excellent adjunct to individual counseling because there is intrinsically a different dynamic at play in a group than in a one-to-one relationship.

I have extensive training and experience in facilitating groups. Please call 503-750-7436 for more information or to become a member of Self-in-Relation.

A women's group is currently forming, please call for more information.
